1. Podcasts can be an invaluable source of information. Whether you are an entrepreneur or simply want to improve some aspect of your life, there is a podcast for you.

  2. Battery Park is one of my favorite locations in New York City. The park is peppered with gardens, monuments, statues and a fountain. The park is steps from the Staten Island Ferry Terminal and Wall Street. There is also a row of Citi Bikes near one of the entrances.

So the park is almost always peppered with some type of activity. Yet, when you enter Battery Park, you are greeted with a warm silence.

This is an image from Brooklyn Bridge Park. The image is a 3 exposure HDR image. I used #photomatixpro5 and +Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. The lens was a a+Sigma CorpofAmerica 24 - 70mm f/2.8.

  5. NYC Street Photography: Looking for a Number

I this this is my first or 2nd attempt at #streetphotography . I was out yesterday, finally it’s been a busy few weeks, shooting with the #sigma  fisheye. When I was done shooting I switched over to my #sigma  24 - 70mm (love the lens).

And began to fire away. It was tougher than I thought even for NYC. People are very aware (in many cases) of their surroundings.

  6. A Fisheye View of Time Square

So I was out yesterday. I was enjoying the great NYC day and I was making images. I started out on the east side and found my way to Times Square.

This is my first time with a fisheye lens. I was shooting at people. At cars. At trees. At buildings. But all the images, frankly sucked. So I looked up at the sky in frustration. And it hit me! Shoot up.

The lens I used was the +Sigma CorpofAmerica 8mm f/3.5 EX DG Circular Fisheye. It’s a vey nice lens. Much thanks to my friends at Sigma!

  7. So I used the +Sigma CorpofAmerica 8mm f/3.5 EX DG Circular Fisheye for this image. I played around with the color image and realized that as a #blackandwhitephotography  it had more character.

I used one of the B&W presets in +Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and then seasoned the photo a bit more by increasing this and reducing that.
